Shocking to be able to give 5 stars to a car rental place! ? Really from start to finish the process was easy and affordable. All employees were helpful and very nice. We got a black Kia forte in great shape inside and out. Also great on gas which was a big perk! Very easy pickup and dropoff. Will definitely be our go to Tampa car rental and also recommend to others!

From the moment I arrived Milan was busy by himself.
Yet he kept his composure and spoke to each costumer with patience and respect. He was so personable and professional, understood the kind of car I needed and price range. I was provided with the Nissan Kick that was new and fit 5 of my family members comfortably and the price for 5 days was so reasonable and at a 1/2 tank filled up with $11.00.
I can’t thank him enough for making our trip even easier than anticipated.

To give even 1 star is an understatement. Ace rental in Tampa international airport has the worse customer service I possibly experienced. I called prior to arriving and asked what was needed, to have all the documentation ready. Only for them to add more requirements once I got there. They 100% false advertise in regards to there rates. DO NOT RECOMMEND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSE WHERE!

I don’t review hardly anything at all on this website, but I’m making an exception just so that other people don’t get fooled the same way I did. The company uses a bait-and-switch, requiring you to buy insurance, even if you purchased it via a 3rd-party, unless you traveled to Tampa with proof of your own insurance. This is different than how every other company does things and was “how they keep their prices low”. But if you’re required to pay an extra $20, the price isn’t *actually* low. They don’t hide this on the terms and conditions, but they’re confident that, as normal humans, you won’t be reading them, and thus the $20 feels very scammy. I would highly suggest putting the extra $20 towards a more legitimate national chain.

Monday 26th, location at Tampa Florida airport Ace rental car around 11:15am.

We picked up the vehicle on Friday, August 23 at noon. Prior to driving the vehicle off the lot we were told to walk around the car and make any reports on dents and markings on the vehicle. We did in-fact marked dents, scratched, and anything broken around exterior. The employee working at the time told us that if we see anything else wrong with the vehicle After driving off the lot to make sure we mark it on the copy sheet given to us.

We noticed a small crack on the windshield on our first day with vehicle after we already got to
the hotel. Due to the heat the crack extended across the windshield. Not only that the vehicle was leaking fluid and air condition was not properly working. Both break lights were also not working. We had several encounter with people honking and until a gentlemen notify that our break lights were out. We were also pulled over as well and the police officer let us off because it was a rental.

Upon our return for drop off. We tried to explain the situation and cracked windshield to see if we can speak to someone regarding the situation. The employee did not try to understand the circumstances and continue to say that we drove off the lot and it’s not their fault the vehicle has no break lights. He immediately got defensive before we can speak further and said it’s not his job to make sure the car is safe, however it isn’t our responsibility to check maintenance before driving off the lot. My family was put in a car in bad condition during our vacation. There was also cigarette ashes all over the dash! Both employee working during that time was very disrespectful and had horrible attitude. We tried to see if there’s any way we can speak to someone who can accommodate us. And they impulsively made statements that we were responsible for the damages and someone is paying for it. I have a video of him saying “how do I know you’re not lying” They escalated things by ignoring us on purpose and walking away assisting others while we were confused how to Go about it waiting for answers. We tried to resolve things not only that I ask politely “sir what is your name can I please speak to your boss or someone in management.” He responded with an attitude and said he’s not telling me his name. I told both the employee I shouldn’t be held responsible because I had a warranty and the vehicle and damages were not caused by me. He said it’s not his problem, because I drove off the lot. Disregarding everything else wrong with the vehicle. He slammed the window in my face. I told them we had a flight to catch. He yelled at my face telling me go catch my flight. We were just looking to see how we can be directed or who to speak to regarding this matter. It was handled in a super unprofessional way. He also tried to had me sign off on the damages and I refuse to.

The names of these two employee were Josh and Jasmel. I’m very disappointed that my first experience Ace was horrible. It started great with the one guy when we first check in, but upon drop off it was horrible. I felt humiliated that my family was being treated this way publicly.

Sadly I should’ve taken photos and videos of everything but I really just wanted to focus on my trip with my family and not go looking for details on a rental car! My advice to you with this car rental Company is spend 20-30 min check everything before you drive off the lot!!!

All these small car rental companies show you a very attractive and economical price for rent. It is a scam. In fact, when you get to the counter, they tell you that they do not accept your insurance and that you must buy the company's insurance, which is double or more than the cost of renting the car. If you want to rent from a reliable company that accepts your insurance, I recommend that it be a large and well-known company like SiXT or Enterprise.

Rented through Ace for the first time this past weekend. Upon checking in the guy had offered us $15 to cover all toll fees for the whole trip. After leaving realized I was charged $31. When I called to ask why they said no I must have misunderstood the guy that they never said their roll pass was $15. The next issue was the guy said it was free for myself to be added to the reservation in case I would be driving the car, they charged another $12.99. They automatically charge another $30 “in case you return the car late” Then they scam you into adding a minimum protection per day that came out to an extra $51. Plus I rented a car seat from them at $51 for the trip. Totaling $375!!! My original price was suppose to be $126. I’ll be sticking to Turo from now on. What a rip off!!!!!
