I had a small group tour with guide Joseph on Sunday 20th October 2024 to Salzburg. It was a well organised trip, our guide Joseph cared us if we needed any water, needed to go to bathroom, and he was very polite and thoughtful to make sure everyone understands each step (such as meeting time, meeting point after free time). All of the clients during the trip were taken care and no one got lost. I wasn’t someone who review online a lot, but comparing to another day trip I had with another company (Vienna Explorer), the trip here is great!

I had a private tour with another company (Vienna Explorer) yesterday, and the guide there was impatient and disappeared at meeting point , I was left alone in rural village for 30min …after the accident yesterday, I want to say good things and review for Vienna a la carte here because it’s such a good tour company but not enough reviews here. If I knew Vienna a la carte is this good, I wouldn’t book yesterday’s trip with other companies

Again, I don’t want to mention too much on other companies here because people may be confused. All I want to say is, Vienna a la carte is great, don’t book trip with other tour company!! Book trip with Vienna a la carte please.

We had a tremendous day visiting the Wachau valley, Durnstein and Melk Abbey. Our guide Ulrich was friendly, very knowledgeable, answered our many questions and made the day easy and pleasant. It is a nice combination to drive out of Vienna, walk around Durnstein ( wish I had more time there ),, then the short river cruise on the Danube and tour of Melk. We enjoyed the tour and the abbey is magnificent. Ulrich walked us around the garden and then drive back into Vienna. He made our trip worthwhile, personal and enjoyable. Thank you, we will use you again.

Robert was a fantastic tour guide! He arrived early and enthusiastically interacted with our four tired kids. He tailored the Salzburg tour to our wants- stopping to let the kids sample the Lake Moonsee water, showing us all the Sound of Music sights while intertwining history into each stop of the walking tour. His restaurant and cafe recommendations were perfect and he demonstrated a great ability to tell a good story.
If you are looking for a tour of Salzburg, or other nearby capitals, Robert is a perfect fit!

The tour to Mauthausen was well-structured and our guide, Ton, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The drive was really comfortable and there was a documentary we were able to watch on iPads on the way there and WiFi available on the way back (although, I’ll admit I fell asleep on part of the drive!). We also stopped for an hour for lunch. I would highly recommend this tour with Vienna a la carte.

Our van driver, Ben, was excellent, extremely knowledgeable about all things Austria (despite being from Australia), friendly, and superbly accommodating. He handed us off to Naomi in Salzburg; she was full of interesting bits of info, but never got in the way of us seeing what interested us. Even the van ride was pleasant. All told, it was the best possible way to see Salzburg when based in Vienna. Thanks, Ben and Naomi!

excellent guide- calm' great van and equipment - like ipads' water in car' taxi refund offer right away, knowledgable in Viena and austria as well, sensitive and friendly. Definitely will go again with Tom. Recommended.
ps- change restaurant maybe? too american "road diner" style. mediocre food and ambiance.
