Our family took the Dachau Tour with Jamie as our tour guide. We have been on many tours globally and I have worked in the tourism industry for many years, and I have to say that he was hands down the best tour guide we have ever come across. His intimate knowledge of WWII and especially about the events leading up to, during and after the existence of the camp was astounding.

He had a way of connecting us with the people who were taken there, and helped bring clarity to the events that led to this dark part of our global history. I learned more in this short, intimate tour than I have in my entire life. What a treat it was to have him lead us through that.

Had Jamie as our tour guide for Dachau, he might have been the best historical guide my wife and I have ever in dozens of trips. Brought passion, insight, and close attention not just to the history but how the history is memorialized and contested. Needless to say this is a disturbing visit but a necessary one.

We booked the Dachau tour with Jamie. We enjoyed a lot the tour all along. He was passionate, very well trained and knowledgeable. Although it is a very difficult topic to explain, he explained all the bits and pieces needed to understand the historical context before, during and after Dachau. We were able to ask any question and he always gave an insightful answer. Equally, when it came to logistics, he ensured that all the group was boarding transportation without anyone left behind, and was able to accommodate a subset of the group meeting us to Dachau directly rather than Munich, without disruption to the tour. We recommend that any person that comes to Munich book this tour and visit the memorial with Jamie. Thank you for be such a lovely guide!
