Ich hatte Probleme mit einem reifen, er verlor immer wieder Luft. Die bremsen waren auch sehr abgefahren. Darauf hin habe ich angerufen und um ein anderes Auto gebeten. Das ersatzauto ist super, nur, dass ich draufzahle wurde mir nicht mitgeteilt. Das ist unverschämt fast 200 $ nachträglich mehr von der Kreditkarte abzubuchen ohne etwas zu sagen. Eigentlich sollte ich einen Discount bekommen, wegen den Umständen die ich hatte. Unverschämt!

There’s a lot of negative reviews, however I had an amazing experience renting my car here. After my 11 hour flight the employees at the desk were really friendly and helpful. The process of renting the car was very fast and took less than 10 minutes. The employee even helped me find where to go, which was extremely nice of them. I would definitely rent a car here again. The car was fueled up and clean.

Overall not too bad. Checked in on line & paid through a booking site for ok price. Used my chase visa credit card so they covered insurance & I didn’t have to pay thrifty for their over priced coverage. Picked up my vehicle with minimal bs & returned without problems. Check in online so you don’t have to stand in that slow line. Book in advance for cheaper rates as well.

Pre paid for a tank of fuel so I would have to fill up to save time, when the car was returned I was charged for a tank of fuel again. Complained via the email and not heard anything from Thrifty.

The collection of the car and the car itself was fine but be careful when returning and I wouldn’t recommend buying extras just to cause problems later.

I had an outstanding experience with Thrifty! Despite seeing some negative reviews online, my experience was smooth and hassle-free. When I arrived, I walked right up to a representative, and within 15 minutes, I was in my rental car and on my way. The car was clean and well-maintained, and the entire process was quick and efficient.

Returning the car was just as easy—located conveniently near the shuttle, making the whole process seamless. Overall, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service I received.

This had to be one of the worst rental experiences of my life. First of all, we arrived really early, which I understand might have been inconvenient. The rental agent had to set up and everything, but when we got to the counter, instead of acknowledging anyone, she started talking to her coworker. It took her 20 minutes to finish her personal conversation, which wasn't even work-related, before she finally attended to the first person in line.

When it was our turn, I realized I had booked an EV car, which was my mistake. I told the rental agent that I didn't feel comfortable with that car and asked if I could get something else. She agreed but, without giving me any other pricing options, put me in a car that was double the amount of my original rental. When she went over the paperwork with me, I asked if the total included the deposit, and she said no, that was the total. I told her it was too much, and she asked if I wanted to go back to the EV car. I agreed, but she then made us wait and continued to tell me how unsafe the EV cars were. She mentioned that if we got stuck, nobody would help us, and we would be completely abandoned.

Her comments made me extremely uncomfortable. I asked if there were any other gas cars available, and she offered me an upgrade for an additional hundred dollars. My family and I discussed it, and despite her persistent comments on the safety of the EV cars at Thrifty, we ended up upgrading.

When we went to see the Nissan Versa that she upgraded us to, we noticed that the seatbelt for the driver's seat was broken. The panel was falling off. We went back to the outside counter to let her know. There was an identical Nissan Versa right next to the one we were in, and we didn't feel safe driving with the seatbelt issue. She told us to just take a picture. I asked if she was sure, and she said yes, just take a picture. My family and I felt that the staff didn't want to help us. As we were leaving, the exit agent said they wouldn't let us switch, but she would write it down on our rental agreement.

Out of the entire experience with Thrifty, the exit agent was the only one who was somewhat helpful. However, the same car did not work properly for most of our trip except for the last two days. This was my first and definitely my last time renting from Thrifty. I will never recommend them to anyone, especially after such an experience where customer safety was clearly not a priority.

My second car rental from Hertz/Thrifty.

1. front desk agent - calm and helpful. Declined insurance and fuel pre-fill. Security deposit of $200.
2. rental car - very good condition inside and out
3. return - easy and hassle free. Security deposit returned automatically by next day end of day, no issues.

Bottom line - just follow the process and fulfill your responsibilities and everything goes fine.

My rental had washer fluids. I refill my gas up to full and got mark at 85%. Got about a quarter tank of gas when I picked it up and they marked that I had 100%. Charged me for 3 gallons of gas. Reached out to hertz and still no response.

Update (2 weeks later approx.): Had to get on the phone to receive a solution but they did help with the overcharged for the fuel. Beside that and no washer fluid when I picked up; everything else was great with the pick up and drop off. Smooth procedure overall makes it great with renting cars.
